Know about Holiday Excursion Ticket
DTC issues holiday excursion tickets on SATURDAY, SUNDAY
& HOLIDAYS
One can purchase the ticket which will be valid for travelling in DTC
buses through out the day. For ordinary buses, the fare are Rs. 20/- only.
However for all city buses including GREEN LINE but excluding PALAM COACH
& TOURIST, the fare are Rs. 25/- only.

DTC daily operates Sight Seeing Tours from Scindia House. The fare of the first tour as well as second tour are Rs. 50/- each. However the fare of combined tour are Rs. 100/-. The detailed Tour programme is given hereunder :-

Do you know the proceedure for obtaining a Bus Pass?
For obtaining DTC Bus Pass, a form priced at Rs. 1/- is to be filled-up which is available at all the 24 different locations, mentioned above. The following documents are required for different categeries:

2 Photos + Form attested by School Authorities
b) FOR RESETTLEMENT COLONIES
Possession letter of Plot + Ration Card.
c) FOR SENIOR CITIZENS
Certificate of Age proof + one Photo + Proof of residence of Delhi

Understanding D.T.C. Interstate Services
D.T.C is operating Interstate Services in 7 states and U.T.Chandigarh viz.Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pardesh, Himachal Pardesh, Rajasthan, Madya Pardesh,and Jammu & Katra. The Corporation is operating 135 INTERSTATE ROUTES with about 750 buses.D.T.C. has achieved a grand landmark by introducing INDRAPRASTHASERVICE with Air-Conditioned Deluxe / Deluxe with push-back seats / Semi-Deluxe / Ordinary Buses on Interstate Routes. The Buses are having curtains fans, comfortable cushion facilities as well as Air-suspension for smooth ride.The revamping of beautifully designed Buses an Interstate Fleet has provided a new look and services to our valued customers. Ours is the first and the only Transport Coreporation in India for introducting such high quality and comfortable Bus service on Interstate Routes. The introduction of this Bus Service by DTC is a part of providing an efficient, comfortable, reliable, economical and properly coordinated bus services to the commuters of Delhi and adjoining states.

Control Room/Complaint Cell/Lost Property Section
A) DTC is having Central Control Room at Pragati Maidan which comprises of Central Complaint Cell (Ph.3371587, 3371763). Besides, there is complaint cell in Vasant Vihar Depot (Ph.6154222).
B) DTC is having Central Lost Property Section at Scindia House (Ph.No.3317445). Apart from that, there are lost property sections in all the Regions, as per details given below :-

DTC Operation on International Routes
DTC has started an Inter National Bus service between Delhi and Lahore with high quality Air Conditioned buses w.e.f.16.03.99. This service is being operated on reciprocal basis with Pakistan tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) BUSES ON THE SAID ROUTE. The details of operation of the service is given hereunder :-
1. Schedule departure and Terminal
Both the Corporations i.e.DTC and PTDC has started services at 0600 hrs. from Dr.Ambedkar Stadium, Delhi Gate on Indian side and Hotel Faletti’s, Lahore on Pakistan side.These services are available only on 4 days of the week from Delhi i.e.Tuesday,Wednesday,Friday and Saturday.
2. Fixation of fares
The fare has been fixed at Rs.800/- per passenger. Children upto 2 years are free (Not entitlement of seat). Children 2 years and above but below 12 years will be charged 66% of the actual fare with entitlement of seat. Above 12 years full fare will be charged.
3. Security
The security personnel have been provided in DTC and PTDC buses for security of passengers.
4. Communication system
DTC Bus has facility of mobile phone, which can be; used by any passenger and the bill is to be paid by the user in the bus. The range of this cell-phone is upto Indian Border.
5. Reservation of passengers
Both the Corporations have opened the reservation counters in their respective country . DTC is doing advance booking for the PTDC bus and its own bus at Delhi and accordingly PTDC is also making the similar arrangements at Hotel Faletti's Lahore. The booking office of DTC is asfollow.

6. Refund towards cancellation
50% refund would be made if the passenger approaches the counter at the terminals 24 hours before the scheduled departure.No refund would be made within 24 hours of scheduled departure.
7. Size of Baggage
Maximum of 29" long suit case with a parameter of 60" weighting upto 20 Kg. Is permissible alongwith one shoulder bag.Free luggage will not be allowed to children below 12 years except a hand bag of reasonable size. The luggage is scanned at Border by both the countires.
8. Guidelines for packaging
No valuables such as cash jewellery, cameras, negotiable papers of business documents should be placed in checked luggage.
9. Restricted luggage
Hazardous articles (prohibited by law) such as acid, matches,liquid,fluid, poisons, flammable explosives or compressed gas are not allowed..
10. Cabin luggage
One shoulder bag is allowed to be kept in the bus cabin.
11. Liability
Baggage and passenger liability is limited by law convention under the jurisdiction of Govt. of India Laws. DTC bus is covered under comprehensive insurance as per Indian Motor Vehicle Act.
12. Travel documents
The passengers are requested/advised to report at the terminal at least one hour before the schedule departure of the bus. Reservation will be cancelled if the passenger fails to report for check in well in time.

14. Halts
Three halts are allowed between Delhi & Wagah (Attari) Border.
1) Parqkeet ourist Clomplex Pipli (Haryana)
Distance between Delhi & Pipli Tourist Complex= 165 Kms.
Running Time = 3 Hours.
Halt Duration = 15 Mts.
2) Sirhind Tourist Complex (Punjab)
Distance between Pipli & Sirhind = 87 Kms.
Running Time = 2 Hours
Halt Duration =1/2 Hrs.
3) Kartarpur Tkourist Clomplex (Punjab)
Distance between Sirhind & Kartar Pur =144 Kms.
Running Time = 3 Hours
Halt Duration = 15 Mts.
It is notified that the passengers traveling between Delhi & Lahore buys would not be allowed to disembark/embark enroute except the Halts indicated above. The passengers are requested to co/operate with the bus crew at the halts to avoid any inconvenience.
14. Complimentary light refreshment and free food facilities
The breakfast at Pipli Tourist Complex/Chakravarty lake, Haryana, Lunch at Sirhind Tourst Complex for the bus leaving Delhi for Lahore. The first halt would be at Kartar Pur where breakfast will be served. Lunch at Sirhind for the bus coming from Lahore to Delhi. The cost of above is included in fare of ticket.
15. Non-Consumption of Personal food in the bus
The passengers will not be allowed personal eatables during the journey except for the items provided by the DTC and P.T.D.C.

Q. Is there any security risk involved in traveling by Delhi-Lahore bus service, keeping in view the prevailing circumstances ?
Ans. There is absolutely no security risk as DTC and Pakistan Tourism buses are equipped with cellular phone facility besides armed security personnel are escorting the bus in both the directions . However a pay cellphone is installed in DTC bus only having range in India Border.
Q. What is the distance of journey and expected time of journey ?
Ans. Approx. 494 Km. India and 36 Km. in Pakistan. About 13 hours of journey time. It may vary upto 1 hour due to immigration/luggage scaning in border
