	1996-99	Additional Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India in charge of International Health, Medical Education, Public Health, Planning and Programming. Responsible for negotiating the State Health Systems Projects for the States of Karnataka, West Bengal and Punjab with World Bank which interalia sought to upgrade the secondary health systems in each state. The projects taken jointly accounted for an assistance of over Rs.1,000 crores coming into the three states through assistance from the International Development Agency. Also formulated and negotiated the Malaria Control Project at a cost of $202 million with the World Bank.
	1992-96	Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India in charge of Planning, International Health, Malaria, Blindness Control & Public Health and Medical Education. Formulated and negotiated the $117 million Project for cataract blindness control with the World Bank.
	1991-92	Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Delhi in charge of all Medical & Public Health activities including Control of Communicable and non-Communicable diseases, Family Welfare and AIDS in the Capital. Negotiated the slum improvement project for Delhi with the World Bank.
	1987-90	Development Commissioner, Government of Goa, in charge of Health, Education and Public Works, Water Supply.
	1984-87	Joint Secretary, Policy Planning, Ministry of Energy, Government of India and OSD to the Chairman, Advisory Board on Energy.
