Shri P. K. Tripathi is a 1977 batch IAS Officer of AGMUT Cadre. He did his
BA and MA (Political Science) from Allahabad University with Gold Medal
for highest marks in Political Science at under-graduate level in the
University. Before joining the Indian Administrative Service, he also
served as Lecturer in Political Science at Lucknow University. He has
served in Union Territories including Arunachal Pradesh and Andaman &
Nicobar Islands. He has experience of Municipal Governance having served
as Secretary, NDMC and Commissioner (Land), Delhi Development Authority.
He has held important positions in the Government of India such as
Director, Total Literacy Campaign (National Literacy Mission), Department
of Education, Ministry of HRD and Joint Secretary, Ministry of Information
& Broadcasting. He has also held different positions in Government of
Delhi like Commissioner (Sales Tax), CEO (Delhi Jal Board) and Principal
Secretary to Chief Minister, Delhi alongwith the additional charges of
Principal Secretary (Commonwealth Games / Tourism/ Administrative
Reforms). |
